  Needed a place to store my luggage since my layover was over 10 hours but then found this place where for the same amount of money i could stay, take a hot shower, nap a little bit and had internet access. If you add all of this plus the friendliness of the owner and her grandson it's really hard to beat that. Casa Serena, thank you so much for you hospitality.

  Our room was spacious, bed was comfy. They had a kettle, toaster, fridge and microwave inside the room which was great. There is also a huge mall 1 block away from the property where we had dinner. Check in instructions did not explain how to get into the property, we had to figure out a way to contact the host to open the door. The main doorbell didn't work. We were then told there is another door bell to the right of the door which we couldn't see in the dark.

  Good option for a transit stay. We arrived from Cuenca by bus, and it's only 5 minutes from the bus station to Casa Serena, and Serena's son was kind to pick us up. He also dropped us off at the airport (another 5-minute drive) the next day. The room was mostly clean, but there were some areas that could have been cleaner. The bed was clean and comfortable and quiet, and that's just what we needed.

  Serena is a lovely woman that takes good care of her guest. The motel is located near Mall del Sol and close to the airport/bus terminal so if you just need a quick rest before hitting the road again, don't think the twice! The wifi was good, there was flat screen TV with cable and a refrigerator, microwave.

  Rooms are spacious and clean - but hostess was not very welcoming to us. We booked this hotel for a one-night stay in Guayaquil because of its proximity to the airport. The rooms are spacious and clean. There is a very big mall in close proximity that has a big food court if you need to grab dinner. The “hotel” is really more like an Airbnb accommodation at this family’s house. There is no common hotel area or reception. It’s just a room in the ground floor of the house. The hostess, however, was not welcoming. She offered us a car ride to the airport for $6 which would normally only cost $1-2 via normal taxi (or 15-20 minutes walk). When we wanted to pay for our room, she had no change at hand and made us venture outside again at 8:30pm to get change. Really not professional. (We had $40 for a room that cost $29 - not like we were trying to pay with huge bills.)
