  Lots of history. Changing of the presidential guard. Shops. Pagentary. Heart of the old city.

  Great place to rest and to get to know the story of Quito... nevertheless in the case of intense heat or rain there is not a lot of place to get protected, so better keeping that in mind the moment of visiting in general Quito's old town.

  It's busy all the time during the day. Afternoon the musicians are showing up which is turning the park even more active than usual. You can see all kinds of people and thanks to the police, the square has no safety issues.

  Nice place to spend a few hours. Place is safe and there are lots of vendors and locals playing music. Worth visit.

  Nice historic square. It is the center of Quito's historical town. Many things to do neat this place like museums and other activities. I went on a Sunday morning and was surprised by a big military display in the square, with many soldiers playing military songs and marching, it was really good,
