::This is the premier place to stay in the area if you enjoy the outdoors and are looking to visit Chimborazo. It's rustic without roughing it. They are highly attentive to detail, the food and service are excellent, and you are within 40 minutes of both Carrel Refuge at the base of Chimborazo as well as Riobamba. If you are looking to do a guided climb of mountains, they can set that up as well. I did a 4 day package with them and it was well worth it. Transportation to the mountain everyday, box lunch for the climbs plus breakfast and dinner everyday.

::We stopped here for lunch. The food was fantastic and there are spectacular views of Chimborazo. The lodge has lots of historical information and artefacts and you could spend hours here looking at everything. The tree tomatoes in syrup we had for dessert were delicious. It's also possible to stay here.

::Stayed here one night as part of my tour with Andean Face tours. It has such a magical remote feeling with stunning views of the volcano. We were so lucky that the sky was so clear when we woke up and could see the summit of Chimborazo. The rooms are small but cozy. The beds had a warm white down comforter and extra heavy blankets if wanted. It is quite cold up here, especially with the winds. But I was warm enough inside my bed and slept well. I would suggest bringing adequate clothing and layers for the weather at this altitude. The dinner and breakfast were delicious, I have fond memories of the pear in syrup for dessert. The main house where the meals are served has a cozy sitting area around a fire place. I wish I saw this sooner so I could have enjoyed it more. The staff was kind and welcoming. Thank you for graciously practicing Spanish with me. Also there’s no internet here but I found that to be a great chance to just enjoy nature and rest. Definitely recommend this place but best to have appropriate expectations given its location.

::A world class mountain lodge and climbing museum. Excellent food and the location is just incredible. Highly recommended to stay and remember that it's high altitude so prepare appropriately!

::This lodge was magical. The location was incredible... For me it was like visiting another world. There were roving alpacas during the day and starlit skies and sweeping winds at night. My mind was blown. The cabin I stayed in had nice, warm bedding and a comfortable, rustic feel. It might not have been the most modern setup when it came to amenities, but I was impressed given how close it was to the summit of Chimborazo. The main lodge was beautiful and had a really inviting atmosphere. It afforded amazing views as the friendly staff prepared home-cooked meals for my group. The coffee, beer, and food were excellent. I slept so well and felt so much peace. I wouldn't have changed a thing!
