::Poor noise insulation, bed sheets are stained AF... Atleast there's no bed bugs so that's a star for them

::Dirty. nice people but very very dirty. Had to leave very shortly after arriving. Nasty

::Lots of beds in room. 2 doubles and a set of bunk beds. Comfortable. Front desk staff is very nice, but they speak no English. Room is not serviced so you have to ask for new towels and toilet paper. It's quite out if town. Walk took only 7 min or so, but Banos is very hilly!

::Decent and affordable. The rooms were comfortable and quiet and the breakfast was above average for Ecuadorian hotels.

::I'm disappointed to be writing this review.. I stayed at this hostel/hotel for 1 night, Jan 28th, 2017. The room was good, small but nothing bad about it. Showers were not up to my expectation, but it was not too bad - I can take it. I was laughed at by the nighttime receptionist while trying to explain something in Spanish, but even this did not bother me - I know I am not fluent yet, and I don't really care about what others say about me. My issue is that somebody stole my phone charger. I forgot it in my room, plugged into the wall. I did not realize that I had forgotten it until I was heading to bed the next night, and I woke up this morning to retrieve it. I figured it would be a very quick stop. How wrong I was !!! I waited for at least 1.5 hours, they checked the room and it was removed when it was cleaned, I would assume. The woman behind the reception desk played around on Facebook for a long time, helping other guests, not trying to resolve my issue. I waited patiently for a resolution. The lady then went upstairs for half an hour, and when she returned I said, in Spanish, 'Excuse me, what about my charger?' And she just replied 'We looked, it is not here'. I was furious! I am 100% certain that I left it in there. It is unacceptable that they can steal people's belongings and not even care to compensate the guest for it. I can understand if the charger was left for 1 or 2 weeks - the guest probably isn't returning. I returned in less than 24 hours for it. Definitely do NOT stay here in Baños - there are a lot of better places to stay, many hotels and hostels on every street. With so much competition, they are going to lose business with antics such as this - and as far as I'm concerned, they deserve to lose business when their employees steal things from the rooms.
