  The middle of the world Quito ,a very nice area ,full of small museums of different cultures,the biggest located in the building of the middle of the world,has a lot of information and experiments done by locals. You can buy souvenirs and other stuff,cafes and restaurants available inside the area. Entrance fee 5$ for adults.paid parking available as well . Beautiful landscape. Closes at 17:45. A church is located in the area .

  This is not the mitad del mundo. It's a nice enough park, but it is 45 minutes away from the actual mitad del mundo.

  It’s a very nice park, although they have a lot of people randomly approaching you to go eat at their restaurant. or to come in the souvenir store. they have different exhibitions to see, you could easily spend an entire day here

  Look, it's tacky. You just have to accept that. But if you go expecting a bit of tongue in cheek fun, it's a decent excursion. Some of the science exhibits are a bit broken, but cool for kids. The virtual museum is also pretty cool.
