  Majestic place located close to Cotopaxi with an incredible view of the mountain. The staff here was incredible and the place and rooms are top notch. Can’t recommend this hacienda enough. If you are looking for a place that provides a nice B&B feel this is the place for you.

  Terrible experience. Don't go!!! I made a reservation and arrived to placer and there was no one to receive us. The whole place was closed, not s single soul to greet us. What kind of a serious hotel does not have a person to greet use at 930pm?!!!! They sent us the wrong location on Google which added another hour to our trip. The roads are so bad! They said it's takes 10 minutes from a spot to their place but it took 30 minutes. The roads into the hotel is also bad. We wasted 4 hours on the road!!! I also called them at 8:27pm to get help and their phone was off.

  My partner and I spent one night at this beautiful hacienda. Even with the luck of a cloudy 24hours/limited visibility of Cotopaxi, we still enjoyed the thoughtful interiors, delicious food and bedroom fireplace. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Would love to make it back for horseback riding soon!

  My boyfriend and I did a 2 weeks trip around Ecuador that started with a 3-day stay in Los Mortinos. Hacienda Los Mortinos is a gem! with spectacular views that can only be seen from there since it is located right in the middle of 4 volcanoes: Cotopaxi, Ruminahui, Sincholagua, and Pasochoa. You can also see the Pichincha volcanoes from the hacienda. The service at Hacienda Los Mortinos is spectacular, it makes one feel at home, so much that we were a little nostalgic of having to leave that place. The manager (Mr. Fernandez) is an incredible host, he was super attentive to every detail of our stay, full of good tips and a lovely energy (he even gave us a little souvenir when we checked out). The food is very tasty, the rooms have spectacular views with windows that look directly at the volcanoes, the cleanliness is first class. Every morning we woke up looking directly at the volcanoes from our room windows! Mr. Fernandez helped us organize our daily activities, one of which was ascending to the Cotopaxi refuge and descending by mountain bicycle. In addition to that, every evening we enjoy walks around the property with Lupe (the lovely farm dog) and got to see llamas, bulls, and cows. It was definitely the perfect place to start our trip and we are very grateful to all the Los Mortinos staff for having filled us with good vibes and having made our stay there an unforgettable memory for us.

  Downright magnificent location to find for my second night in Ecuador. My only complaint is that I didn't stay longer. Undortunaly I didn't arrive with the sun but the view of Cotopaxi in the morning around 7am didn't disappoint even though it was shrouded in fog. The hosts are one of a kind as is the hacienda itself. Clean, intentional, and creatively designed. With a superb breakfast included the value is unsurpassed. I was lucky enough to make acquaintance with the dueño as well as the house doggos and llamas, too. Highly recommended and I'd suggest a 2 night minimum for a proper getaway.
