  This place definitely has some shortcomings from a managerial perspective but hopefully they're being worked on. When it comes to the rooms and grounds - Santa Isabella is lovely. The rooms were comfy and clean, the grounds were beautiful, lots of space to relax. Breakfast was nice but with really slow and inefficient service - make sure you put at least an hour aside to eat breakfast because the wait staff isn't properly trained. They have a gorgeous-looking spa that's very mismanaged so skip it - both the sauna and jacuzzi were "heated" to about 50 degrees when we attempted to use them. Until they have full-time staff for the spa, I'd not recommend attempting it.

  An exceptional beautiful historic hotel with several hidden amazing features. Such as a romantic underground bar which was part of a tunnel connecting different convents in Riobamba, a zero gravity bath in the gorgeous spa area, a modern section with wheelchair accessible rooms, an excellent restaurant with one of Ecuador’s best chefs and many more features. All the rooms are very nicely decorated and quiet.

  Excellent accommodations. Delicious and beautiful meals. The spa was delightful and the management was superb.

  This was a top hotel experience in Ecuador. Rooms were simple, clean, and with a lot of charm. Beds were very very comfortable. The hotel grounds were also beautiful. Also the front desk was very nice and tried to help whenever they can.
